Japan's Foreign Minister: Britain and Japan aim to develop a framework for a trade agreement this month

Japan's foreign minister said Friday, August 7 that Britain and Japan broadly agreed on most of the points for a post-Brexit bilateral trade deal.

While in London for talks, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi told reporters in an Internet briefing, "We have agreed to accelerate the talks with the aim of reaching a framework agreement by the end of August."
