US jobless claims rise to 412,000 from 375,000
The US Labor Department reported that primary unemployment rose unexpectedly last week despite the ongoing recovery in the US labor market.
The total claims against unemployment for the week ending June 12th reached 412 thousand, which is an improvement from the previous week of 375,000 applications.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had expected a total of 360,000 orders.
