Wall Street opens on an increase with the support of large tech companies and strong results
Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Friday, boosted by big-cap technology stocks and solid business results from social media companies Twitter and Snap, as investors' eyes turned to business data later in the day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 31.8 points, or 0.09 percent, to 34855.11 points, and the Standard & Poor's 500 Index opened, up 13.7.
A point, or 0.31 percent, to 4,381.2 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index increased 68.5 points, or 0.47 percent, to 14,753.058 points.
