Gold futures rose during the US session

Gold futures rose during the US session on Tuesday.

As rated by the Comex of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures contracts for February were trading at USD1,826.65 an ounce at the time of writing, up by 1.61%.

It was previously trading at a session high of USD1,831.25 an ounce. Gold may find support at USD1782.00 and resistance at USD1831.25.

The dollar index futures, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six other major currencies, fell by 0.63% to trade at USD103.68.

Meanwhile on the Comex, silver for the month of March rose 4.94% to trade at USD24.34 a troy ounce while copper for the month of March rose 0.61% to trade at USD3.81 a pound.
