The S&P 500 index achieves its second consecutive weekly loss
US Wall Street stock market indices witnessed collective declines at the close of the trading session on Friday, March 15, as inflation fears remain at the forefront ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting next week.
The S&P 500 index fell by 33.39 points, or 0.65%, to the level of 5,117.09 points at the close of the trading session on Friday, achieving a weekly loss for the second time in a row.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the session down 190.89 points, or 0.49%, to the level of 38,714.77 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index fell at the close by 155.35 points, or 0.96%, to the level of 15,973.17 points.
