Biden: We are confident that the Fed will take measures to curb inflation when needed
US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that his administration is watching inflation and is confident that the Federal Reserve will take appropriate measures to curb prices if needed.
"We will monitor inflation carefully every month and I am confident that the Federal Reserve will take appropriate measures if necessary," he added.
Jobs go up and monthly price increases go down
He added during his speech:
Economic growth is at its fastest in 40 years
Unemployment is declining
Gas prices today are lower than they were earlier this decade but still high enough to cause distress for families
We made it clear to OPEC that the production cuts it made during the Corona pandemic must be reversed
We will carefully monitor inflation and trust that the Fed will take appropriate measures as needed
