Oil prices rise after Aramco facilities were attacked in Saudi Arabia
Oil prices rose on Friday, March 25, after losses incurred in the beginning of dealing with the trend of traders to buy after a missile attack that hit the storage facility of the Saudi Aramco oil company.
Brent crude rose $1.20, or 0.7%, to $119.92 a barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude rose $1.04, or 0.9%, to $113.34.
The two benchmarks headed towards achieving their first weekly rise in 3 weeks, as Brent crude headed for a weekly jump of 10% and West Texas Intermediate 8%.
A military spokesman said that the Yemeni Houthi group had fired missiles and drones at Aramco's facilities in Jeddah, adding that the attacks targeted the Ras Tanura and Rabigh refineries.
