The United States is considering imposing customs duties on France

According to news reports today, Friday, that the United States is considering imposing customs duties on French goods ranging between 500 to 700 million dollars, due to the French move to impose a digital tax on major technology companies that include a number of American companies.

The report indicated that this procedure may be announced soon, and that it will come into effect later this year.

It should be noted that French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mer said earlier that if the United States decided to go ahead and impose sanctions on the digital tax, then France would respond in kind.
