The cryptocurrency "Bitcoin" is rising about 5%, approaching its highest level ever
Bitcoin rose strongly on Tuesday, March 9th, on its way to achieving gains for the fifth consecutive day, to be within walking distance from its all-time high reached last month.
The cryptocurrency rose during today's trading by 4.9%, recording $ 54.2 thousand, to approach its highest level at $ 58.4 thousand, which it reached on February 21.
Bitcoin has risen about 87% since the start of 2021, outperforming all traditional asset classes, due in part to the wider acceptance of the currency as a form of payment.
