White House: Biden signs debt ceiling project into law

The White House said in a statement that President Joe Biden signed today, Thursday, a bill to raise the US debt ceiling into law, preventing the United States from defaulting on its debts.

On Tuesday, the House of Representatives and Senate approved raising the federal government's borrowing ceiling by $2.5 trillion to about 31.4 trillion, and sent the bill to Biden for approval.
