Fed member Neil Kashkari said Friday that in light of the Fed's new future guidance, there is still a possibility that interest rates will be raised before the Fed targets are met.

Kashkari wanted the Federal Reserve to pledge to wait for interest rates to rise only until core inflation reaches 2% within about a year, as the arrival of core inflation at 2% will prove that the economy is operating with the required efficiency.

Hence, it is worth noting that, through the interest statement issued by the US Federal Reserve for the month of September, this decision to keep the interest rate at the current level was voted unanimously by members of the Monetary Policy Committee, except for Robert Kaplan, who believes that interest should be maintained until economic conditions improve, And Kashkari supports the flexibility to raise interest rates when inflation reaches 2%.

In terms of DXY trading, these comments do not seem to have a significant impact on the performance of the US dollar against its main competitors, as the US dollar index did not change much during today's trading and is currently trading at 92.91.
