Markets are awaiting the annual Jackson Hole Conference of Central Bankers, which was held online last year amid the outbreak of the Corona virus.

However, it appears that major monetary policy makers will not attend the annual conference.

An ECB spokesman said President Christine Lagarde would not attend the annual conference while the Sunday Telegraph reported earlier that Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey also apologized for attending.

According to the Kansas City Fed President, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is expected to announce his quest to begin easing monetary support during the Jackson Hole conference.

According to a Reuters poll, 60% of respondents expect the Federal Reserve to start reducing its asset purchases in the first quarter of next year.

The Jackson Hole Conference is an annual event sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and has been held in Jackson Hole since 1981.

Each year, the symposium focuses on an important economic issue facing the economies of the world.
