European stocks close at two-month high
European stock indices closed slightly higher today, Thursday, as investors continued to search for a direction coinciding with the closure of American markets.
The European Stoxx 600 index closed up by 0.3%. Oil and gas stocks rose by 1.4% despite the continued decline in oil prices after OPEC postponed its policy meeting, while travel company stocks led the losses, declining 1%.
Preliminary Eurozone PMI data for November showed employment falling for the first time in nearly three years.
Business activity continued to decline, although the rate of contraction in production and new business slowed
