Turkish Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan said on Wednesday, November 26, that the slowdown in inflation is a "long-term process" in which monetary policymakers have made progress, and that the bank will do everything possible to ensure inflation falls in line with its targets.

In an interview broadcast by the bank to journalists and economists, Karahan added that demand conditions are aligned with the slowdown in inflation, emphasizing the bank's determination to bring inflation below 10%.

He said that short- and medium-term indicators point to the continuation of the inflation slowdown process.

Turkish inflation fell slightly more than expected in October to 32.87% year-on-year and 2.55% month-on-month.
