US indicators mixed as Wall Street prepares for key inflation report
US stocks were mixed in Wall Street trading on Tuesday, as investors struggled to regain some positive momentum ahead of the release of key US inflation data.
The 30-share Dow Jones Industrial Average settled at the close after falling 72 points, or 0.3%, during the trading day. At its lowest level of the session, the Dow Jones Index fell 320.71 points, or 0.8%. The S&P 500 index closed marginally higher by 0.14%, while the Nasdaq Composite rose by about 0.32%.
